Monetization & Gamification
Monetization
Any practice that bring money to our app. We do monetize to create
revenue in order to let it sustain or grow
Example:
User interaction
- Advertising
- Subscription
- Remove ads
- Freemium
Active purchase
- Sales
- Affiliate marketing

Gamification
Use of game element in non game contexts, it can be used in education,

Example:
- Development and accomplishment (extrinsic)
- Empowerment & Creative feedback (intrinsic)

3. Project 4
After the user testing pahse for the lo-fi prototype, getting the
feedback from my friend it was already well made and just a minor fix.
after done fixing few little things on lofi i jump straight into
hi-fi.

For Monetization, i chooser to implement a little button that will direct them
into a new page. and in that page they will be having a littile minigame or a
quest, to recive the money you will need to invite a friend to use wise and
after done the quest you will reward it by 250 myr.

and for Gamification, i put a transfer calculator for knowing before actually wanna use the transfer, so in this calculator it will show how much you want to transfer in to a specific currency, fo example in this hi-fi i made from myr into idr. and after that it will show also a cost how much for an admin fee for using wise, and how long your money will be converted.

financial applications with clarity and user confidence as top priorities. Translating abstract research insights into concrete interface decisions challenged me to think critically about every interaction, especially during sensitive actions such as payments and currency selection. Designing the QR flow and confirmation states made me realize how small design details can significantly reduce confusion and anxiety for users.
This project also improved my ability to connect research, ideation, and execution into one cohesive design process. If given more time, I would further test the prototype with users and refine edge cases such as failed payments or currency switching scenarios. Overall, this experience strengthened my user-centered design skills and deepened my understanding of interaction design for fintech products.
